About the Artist...

I am an artist from Eden, NY, a small farm town outside Buffalo, NY.  I now live in Charlotte, NC, where I paint, draw and illustrate professionally.

I was recently selected as one of the 12 artists to compete for $100,000 on "Work of Genius." "Work of Genius" will air on Fox in the fall of 2009 and is a fine art competition and reality tv show.

My artwork is grouped into 3 main categories:

- Music Based Art - This is my Rock and Roll art series.  Each of these works of art are inspired by certain songs and musicians.  The paintings and drawings range in style and medium.  Each painting and drawing is my visual representation of the music that inspires me.  The music that inspires my art tends to be rock and roll, from musicians like Robert Johnson, to other greats like Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones.    

- Surreal Art - These are paintings straight from my brain.  I want each of these paintings to give the viewer the opportunity to wander around the painting.

- Interesting People - These are drawings and paintings of interesting people.  Many of these paintings  and drawings are very detailed in nature.  The goal is to capture the essence and emotion of a person and moment.
